Need help finding your serial number for Business Plan Pro, Marketing Plan Pro, or one of our other software products? The instructions you need are below.

How to find your serial number

These instructions apply to the currently supported versions of our products (see list of supported versions). If you need a serial number for earlier versions or other products, please contact us at (800) 229-7526 or customerservice@paloalto.com.

Installed software

If you have already installed the software, your serial number is available in the product itself. Just start the software and open a plan (either a sample plan or your own plan). Then select About from the Help menu. The window that opens will show your serial number.

Retail purchases

If you purchased the software from a retail store, you'll also find the serial number on the back of the CD case that comes in the box.

Online purchases

If you bought your software from our website, you can find the serial number in the email order confirmation you received, or on the order receipt page if you printed it out.

About serial numbers

Why do you need a product serial number? Each copy of our software products comes with a unique serial number that serves as your proof of ownership and licenses you as the exclusive user of the software. Your serial number is only valid for your own use on your own computer, although we do allow a second installation so that you can have an installation on a computer in your office and one at home without violating copyright, if you only use one at a time.
